Lory Lyon is a Brooklyn-based photographer, producer, director, and internationally award-winning choreographer.

 

She has worked with dancers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Sidra Belle, LA Dance Project, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, The Metropolitan Opera House, Ballet Hispánico, and So You Think You Can Dance, and has collaborated with dance companies and collectives around the world to produce conceptual films, performances, and eventsLory has exhibited photography at galleries in Japan, Paris, Mexico City, New York, Los Angeles, and Austin. She has shot campaigns for national and international brands including Bulova, Adidas, The Wrap Life, Bloch, Soul Cycle, Parra, and more. Lory has produced, directed, and choreographed music videos for artists signed with Universal Music Group, Warner Bros. Records, Joyful Noise Records, Nine Mile Records, and Armada Music Group. She has directed and produced short films, television shows, and events, most recently producing the Season 2 premiere for HBO’s Gentleman Jack. She is the photographer and artistic director for Dancegeist and Lesbians are Miracles magazines. Lory is passionate about authentic narratives, experimental film and photography, movement direction, artistic collaboration, and queer representation. She is committed to solving creative problems, connecting with others, and turning visions into reality.
